Foretelling the future of the robot vacuum is Whirlpool's Miracle Kitchen of the Future, a display at the American National Exhibition, held during the summer of 1959 in Moscow. Vice President Richard Nixon and Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev engaged in the so-called “kitchen debate.” It was an exhibition of American art, fashion, cars, capitalism, and model homes.
